Admiral Overalls was written entirely during the month of June 2006, for the "Exclusive GeeksWithBlogs Member Game Design Contest". The requirement were that entrants must use an edition of the free Visual Studio Express product line to create a game within the one-month time allotment. Admiral Overalls was not declared the final winner, but it was both a very fun adventure, and a valuable learning experience. About the Game
Admiral Overalls was created with the infamous 'Commander Keen' series as inspiration, with plenty of interesting and original twists and features tossed into the mix. Anyone who has played any of the old platformer classics will feel at home playing Admiral Overalls. It looks and feels like one of the old DOS-based 4-bit sidescrollers you'd find on an old shareware 3.5" floppy disk, but with plenty more quirky and stylish glitz. Give it a try! Screenshots
