Little Me
My name is Thomas Anderson. I am student majoring in computer science, switching to psychology, with a focus of interest in cognitive science, that is, understanding the mind and intelligence.
I have a high degree of interest in neuroscience, psychopharmacology, psychology, philosophy of mind, and the future of simulated intelligence. I hope to be a part of the integration of spiritual and mystical tradition in to modern science and do not believe that the two need remain separate.
Humankind watches the dawn of a new age of knowledge, an age of unification, as the sciences of quantum and standard-model physics, chemistry and pharmacology, biology and ecology, neurology and psychology, and sociology and astronomy gather together and integrate a science of consciousness.
Consciousness seems to me to be key, an integral part of the kosmos yet to be explained to a sufficient degree. The mystical and spiritual wisdom traditions shall be put to scientific scrutiny such that every bit of informative knowledge can be distilled from their vast coffers at the treasury of Being.
Personality
My Myers-Biggs psychological type is highly Introverted, highly Intuitive, highly Perceptual, and a tie between Thinking and Feeling. This results in my living on the edge of both INTP and INFP.
My Keirsey Temperament, likewise, aligns to a cross between the Idealist-Advocate-Healer and Rational-Engineer-Architect.
These combinations result in a highly feeling and highly thinking introvert who absorbs and expounds information as objectively as a subject can, without judgement. My morals are practical and pragmatic and I believe human nature is basically good, but fundamentally uneducated, and upon edification of the unity of all there is, the goodness shines through only stronger.
