Team ASome people concerned with the erosion of democracy and politicians who have lost elections recently see fake news as a detrimental to an informed electorate (set of voters) and as the cause of their defeat. They want to outlaw and prevent fake news and require the assistance of computer scientists in detecting it, in order to prevent it.
Team BOther people concerned with civil liberties and politicians who have won elections recently are not so worried about fake news. They believe that people are smart enough to detect fake news, fake news is protected as free speech, and in any case do not trust any government authority to decide what is fake news, in order to prevent it.
