CS 492/CS 692 S20 Role-Playing Exercise 6

Net Neutrality

Team A

A group of civil liberty champions who feel that net neutrality must be the order of the day for  the Internet, in order to continue the kind of  open democracy that the Internet currently reflects.

Team B

A group of CEOs of Internet-based companies who oppose net neutrality. They argue that regulation of the Internet will stifle the business plans of their organizations, since customers  arrive with dramatically different profiles and they should have the right to set preferential fees. They feel that net neutrality in fact threatens the future of the Internet, as it stifles important new innovation.
