CS898 - Winter 2014 - Readings for the Topic Areas For each of the topic areas, there will be readings. Students are expected to have read these papers and be ready to discuss in class, for the due dates indicated in the timetable. Class participation marks will be determined in part on the basis of the discussions taking place on these dates (as well as on the basis of discussion that occurs after guest speakers' lectures and after the group presentations of projects). The readings will also assist groups in motivating the work being done for each of the required group projects. These readings are primarily focused on informing students about "the problem"; working in groups, students will then move forward to try to develop technological "solutions".
