Textbooks

There are no required textbooks for CS 145.

Much of the material we cover is supported by the CS 135 textbook, "How To Design Programs" (HtDP), by Felleisen, Findler, Flatt, and Krishnamurthi, which is available online as well as at the UW Bookstore. In reading this book, you can safely ignore sections which use the draw.ss teachpack; this is obsolete, replaced by image.ss and universe.ss, which we will see briefly at the beginning of the term (but which you are not responsible for).

There is a new edition of HtDP in progress, which we will also be referring to.
