COVID-19 Response
This page describes all CS 146 information relating to the COVID-19 outbreak in Winter 2020.

There have been three significant changes since the previous update on Tuesday, March 24 at 11:30 AM.
Miscellaneous Information
The week of suspended academic activity (March 16 through 20) does not count towards assignment deadlines, and hence assignments due that week are effectively extended by one week.
The deadline for midterm remark requests have been extended through to Wednesday, April 8, the first day of finals. See Piazza for details on submitting a request.
No office hours or consulting hours will run over the period of the final assessment.
Changes to Other Pages
Exams, Grading
There will be no final exam.
Instead, the final assessment will be of the form of an assignment available for 10 days,
from April 10 through April 19.
The final grade will be numeric, with weights as follows:

The Registrar's Office has created an option for students to take CR/NCR over a numeric grade. See their email (titled "Your Winter 2020 Grades - Details About the CR/NCR Option") in your edu.uwaterloo.ca inbox.
Forums
Piazza is still the primary forum.
Lushman's office hours will be periodically announced on Piazza.
Hackman's office hours will be held over Zoom.
Hans' consulting hours will be held over Skype.

Lectures
All lectures and tutorials in the period of March 16 through March 20 have been suspended.
Lectures will be streamed online through Twitch.
Recordings of these lectures will be posted on vault.cs.
